Preview Partick Thistle
Friday, 28th Sep 2007It`s six games back since the Pars played at home but we need a win.
Saturday is the first meeting of these clubs in the First Division since season 1988/89. Unbeaten against Partick in the SPL, there have been 62 previous league meetings, 26 of which Dunfermline have won and the remaining 36 split equally between draws and defeats.
Partick Home Milestones
The last home league defeat by Thistle occurred all of 24 years ago. The 10-1 win in 1959 is one of the club`s most famous victories, as it prevented almost certain relegation.

It`s six games back since the Pars played at home. That day they were held to a draw by St Johnstone. Dunfermline`s home form shows two wins, two draws, and two defeats in their last six. Scoring and conceding seven goals in this period. The Pars last home win was on 7th May 4-1 over Motherwell but in 2007 only Hearts, Rangers, Falkirk and Morton have left East End Park with full points.
Partick Thistle are not at their best when they leave Maryhill. They have managed a miserable 2 draws from the last six matches, scoring 5 and losing 11. Their last visit to Dunfermline was in the Tennent`s Scottish Cup last season when the Pars won 2-0.
