Jim Hamilton spoke after his red card, describing his feelings as those of "frustration":-
"It is probably the worse sending off I have ever seen. The first one for saying 'how long are they going to take to come back from their celebration' - he booked me for saying 'how long?'.
The second one when I had already taken the shot and he blew his whistle and he booked me for kicking the ball away."
Even BK Hacken boss Sonny Karlsson called it a "light" booking and Jim talked the key decision that really diminished the Fifers chances of being in the next round:-
"Their boy has flicked it on, so how can I be offside. It is frustration but I have to watch what I am saying so I will end it there.
"I said to the fourth official and the linesman that it was never offside anyway. I got a shot at goal so that's all i aid. You can't do anything, it changed the game. We were well on top at that time; we had created some good chances but unfortunately we never took them. If we had stayed at eleven men we could have at least taken it to extra time and I think we would have gone on and won the game. We feel let down because of it.
"I can understand the fans feelings but we gave 100%, created the better chances in the game and that's five games out of six that we have gone down to ten men. I don't think that we have let them down on the night, we gave it our all and had we stayed with eleven men we could have gone on and won the game."
Jim felt that finishing a game with eleven men would greatly assist the side's odds of getting results:-
"It is just silly decisions, a couple have been the last man but you just need to look at that one tonight for an answer. The referee just flashed the yellow cards and I don't know if he speaks English anyway. You just have to deal with that when you play in Europe. It is frustrating because I think we could have done well in it."
