Preview Livingston
Friday, 17th Aug 2007The pointless clash when Pars travel to West Lothian on Sunday.
The Scottish Division One season has not started well for either Dunfermline or Livingston. Both will be out to launch their challenge to regain their place in the SPL, albeit belatedly. It was in the top flight that they last met there in February 2006 and for the Pars it was the first ever SPL win there. The 1-0 win courtesy of Mark Burchill followed nine failed attempts. The clubs have previously met there twice in the First Division, both matches ended 1-0 with Livi winning one and the Pars the other.

Burchill could hold the key to success if past form is repeated; as well as scoring the winner at Almondvale last time, he scored a hatrick as the Pars defeated Livi in the last meeting between the clubs in April 2006. Dunfermline have won three of the last dozen league meetings with Livingston, losing three with the other six ending in draws.
