Nick Phinn
Squad No.14 Young midfielder who is a product of the Pars youth development system, Nick made his first team debut in 2005-2006 aged 17, and has been developing ever since. Nick is making a real bid this for a regular start in a central midfield role, and his performances justify it. Not the tallest player but gutsy and with good interpassing skills. Nick signed from Hearts Boys Club, playing at Under 13 level, before progressing through the ranks of the Under 14s, 15s and 16s. The Glasgow born midfielder signed a full-time contract in the summer of 2004 after impressing Craig Robertson and Jim Leishman was included in the first team squad in 2005-06. Signed an extension to his contract in March 2008 to keep him at East End Park until 31st May 2010. Aged 17 years 5 months and 28 days became Dunfermline Athletic's youngest ever player to start an SPL match - against Falkirk at the Falkirk Stadium. Was called up to the Scotland U21s for squad practice in February 2009. Scored 12 goals from midfield in season 2008-09, 6 in season 2009-10.
