The Pars 17-year old international goalkeeper, Greg Paterson has agreed to renew his contract with the club keeping him at East End Park until May 2010.

He has been on the bench for SPL matches in both 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 seasons with injuries for Bryn Halliwell at Livingston and Roddy McKenzie at Ibrox raising his hopes of becoming the Pars youngest SPL goalkeeper but on both occasions the physio's magic sponge denied him the glory.
Greg, a former pupil of Woodmill High School in Dunfermline said:-
"I am delighted to be given this new contract. I am still eligible to play in the Under 19s next season, that should keep me match fit to push for a place in the reserves and even the first team."
Newly appointed MBE, Jim Leishman was pleased that the young prospect had pledged his future to the Pars:-
"He's one for the future, on the fringe of an international career and we're delighted he has signed a three year deal."
