Darren Young post final
Sunday, 27th May 2007"The man of the match award means nothing much because it comes at the end of another defeat against Celtic, in another Scottish Cup final.
Darren Young gave his comments after the Scottish Cup final defeat:-
"It is hard to take. Everyone expected them to win it but we know ourselves that we never created enough chances but neither did Celtic. At the end of the day they got the goal that won it.
The sponsors Man of the Match award was no consolation for Young who put that in perspective by adding:-
"I thought one goal, one slip-up would settle it, and that fell for them. The man of the match award means nothing much because it comes at the end of another defeat against Celtic, in another Scottish Cup final. "I don't think they are as good as they were in 2004, but they have won the league last year and the double again so fair play to them.We were 1-0 in 2004 and then came out and lost 3-1."It has been a rollercoaster of a season. It was poor and then we did well in the Cup. We had a chance in the league thinking that we were going to do it. We were low, then high and now we are back down again."
