Scott Wilson Post St Mirren
Saturday, 10th Mar 2007"Goals win games - you get points for wins and we have not won enough g
"It is a massive opportunity lost, to be honest a draw isn't really good enough for us today.
"There are still a lot of points to play for but it would have given us a massive confidence boost if we had beaten them today. To be honest I don't think that we deserved to beat them today because of the way we played. Sometimes you have to take your cake and eat it.
"The keeper had some good stops but that game sums up our season. As a team we haven't scored enough goals and little half chances, bits of luck in front of goal haven't been going for us all season. Goals win games, you get points for wins and we have not won enough games this season.
"St Mirren came here to play for the draw and stop us playing. It worked for them. It is quite a disappointing performance; wee half chances, no clear cut chances. The goalie had a good save from Hammy but I think St Mirren deserved their point today."
How difficult will Scott find it remaining optimistic that there can still be a miraculous escape from relegation:-
"It will be very difficult; everybody away from this club will be saying that's it done and dusted but we have got to believe that we can pull this back. There are still plenty games to go but the downside is that St Mirren could pick up points as well.
"We felt going into this game, if we could win this game and win our home games - we have been playing well at home; we have only lost 1-0 to Rangers at home in the last few games that we have played here. But it is a sickener today.
"All the games coming up are games we can win, we do not have to play the Old Firm and obviously in the split you are in the bottom half and hoping that teams that are probably safe will not play their strongest teams but that can work against us as well.
"It is going to be very difficult now - nine points. We are definitely playing better but the League does not suggest that. You feel for the club and sorry for yourself. No guys in that dressing room want to play in the First Division but it just has not gone for us."
