Dunfermline went to Celtic Park in November 2005 and a Greg Ross goal secured the Pars first away win of last season`s SPL campaign. The 1-0 win inflicted the first SPL defeat for Celtic and this followed a 2-1 Pars win in Glasgow back in May 2004. With only five Premier League wins at Celtic Park, Dunfermline are always up against it at Parkhead.

Jim O`Brien`s loan deal from Celtic excludes him from playing for Dunfermline against the Parkhead club on 3rd March but that conveniently allows him to fulfil an international commitment with the Republic of Ireland.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21 team managed by Don Givens will play in the 11th annual Madeira Cup tournament from February 27th - March 2nd. Ireland won the trophy on the island of Madeira last year and will defend their title by playing three matches against Slovakia (February 27th), Madeira (February 28th) and Portugal (March 2nd). Also in the squad is Celtic`s Darren O`Dea. Referee at Celtic Park will be Steve Conroy; his second match of the season with both clubs. He was in charge when Dunfermline were beaten at Ibrox back in November.
