"We are chasing St Mirren and every game they lose they will look back and ask themselves 'what did we do?'

"As a goalie and especially in these games you are happy if after 90 minutes you have a clean sheet.  Hopefully you score one that means three points. Points especially away are built on clean sheets, that was a good performance from that matter so we are quite happy with that one.

"Every game is like a cup final for us, we need to gain points and we are happy that we gained a point today because all the other guys lost."

It was a nervous conclusion to this match with the memory of the last minute goal at Falkirk that cost a point in the last away game:-

"You have always the thought in the back of your mind that there are so many battles in the 18 yard box, they might slip a ball through or something. They didn't do it so a lot of compliments to my defenders, they were quality today."

Dorus agreed that the lack of goals was Dunfermline's biggest problems:-

"We don't create much chances but a couple of weeks ago against Rangers in the cup we created loads of chances - so it is in the team and that is the belief we have as well.  We are still positive about it and the more chances you create - Stevie Crawford is a natural goalscorer and Jim Hamilton has great aerial abilities and Mark Burchill and Jim McIntyre are coming back from injury so we have a lot of options.

"Mark Burchill has proved in the years that he has been playing professional fotball that he is a quality player and a goalscorer.  That is what we need at the moment, we need a goalscorer.  We have four strikers of good quality upfront who can score goals so at some moment and hopefully next hime game, these will come."

Dorus is encouraged by the optimistic atmosphere around DAFC and the town of Dunfermline:-

"I live in Dunfermline and speak to a lot of supporters.  Everyone is still positive.  I would be honest and would say if I thought differently but at the moment there is so much belief.  We have still two games left against St Mirren, Motherwell and Inverness so to be fair there are a lot of points at stake.  If we create a lot of chances and score goals something can happen to gain us points.  That is all we need.

"We are chasing St Mirren and every game they lose they will look back and ask themselves 'what did we do?'  All we can do is win games and get points and points.  They are chasing, it is a cat and mouse game. Hopefully it will get better for us.

"The fans know we are working hard and they tell us to be positive. We will keep fighting and at some moment it will come for us."
