Jim Hamilton Post Rangers
Sunday, 21st Jan 2007"I feel that we can start getting wins and closing this gap but we are going to have to start doi
"It is frustrating but that is the story so far of the season. Last few weeks we have done really well and we took it into today. We could have had a couple of penalties, we had the ball cleared off the line, I should probably have scored with the header but it is the same old story. We took no points out of the game again."
Hammy felt that Karl Svensson's block on Stevie Crawford's strike at the end of the first half was definitely a penalty:-
"Stevie probably caught it too well but to be fair to Svensson he has got to protect himself sticking his hands up but it stopped it going in. In everybody's book it is a stonewall penalty. That is the breaks that we need at the moment. Over the piece we deserved to get something out of the game."
Jim was asked what was the difference when the Pars could score three times against Rangers just two weeks ago yet not score in ten and a half hours of league football:-
"It is not as if we are not trying to score goals. It is frustrating for us but great for the press to keep bringing up. I am sure if we score one, we will score a barrow load but it is just getting that one goal.
"If we don't believe in ourselves there is no point in turning up for the last thirteen games. I think we have to play eight of our last nine games the bottom six teams. That is maybe an advantage for us but if we can take performances like that and the ones we have produced in the last couple of weeks and get the breaks I feel that we can start getting wins and closing this gap but we are going to have to start doing it very soon."
