Noel Whelan leaves East End Park
Tuesday, 9th Jan 2007One less but Stephen Kenny confirms the return to training of injured duo de Vries and McCunnie.
Dunfermline Athletic FC today confirm that Noel Whelan is no longer with the club. Everyone at Dunfermline Athletic would like to wish Noel all the best.
Meanwhile Manager Stephen Kenny was pleased to welcome back both Jamie McCunnie and Dorus de Vries to full training on Tuesday. Greg Shields did some light training with a view to stepping it up on Thursday.
Despite this positive news the Manager will not have his full choice for the match against Falkirk on Saturday since Jim Hamilton, Phil McGuire and Gary Mason will all be serving a one match suspension. No decision has yet been taken on when striker Jim Hamilton will go for his previously postponed knee operation.
Mark Burchill and Scott Muirhead are unlikely to be fit to return this week but Jim McIntyre has targeted next month for a comeback.
Dunfermline will meet Raith Rovers in the Semi Final of the Fife Cup on Tuesday 16th January. Kick off at East End Park is 7.00pm. Season tickets are NOT valid.
