Last season's U19 skipper Aaron Scott, has been awarded a sports scholarship to train as a footballer at an American university. Aaron, 18, will attend McKendree University in Lebanon, Illinois, in August when he will also study for a degree.
The former Dunbar Grammar School pupil's skills as a footballer have already been shown by captaining Dunfermline Athletic's under-19 team and by lifting the under-16 Scottish Cup with Hutchison Vale FC's youth side while captain in 2007.
Scott secured the scholarship through Glasgow-based FirstPoint USA, the largest sports scholarship consultants in the world. He said:
"This is a dream come true. Playing the sport I want to excel at, studying at a top college and having an amazing life experience by living in America is fantastic. It's an absolutely once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and I'm really look forward to meeting all the lads in the team."
Nicole Montoya from FirstPoint USA said: "We wish Aaron all the best in his new career.
"American colleges are keen to attract the very best sporting talent from across the world and our experience and long standing relationships with over 2,500 colleges from Hawaii in the west to New York in the east lets us provide the very best advice to any young athlete who has aspirations of living, studying and training in the US."
