Jim McIntyre praised his troops for earning their new Manager an early award. To win the Manager of the Month after just 8 days in the job will be a hard one to beat but Jim was in little doubt that the fruit of his team's labour was the reason for his immediate success:-

"I am absolutely delighted, you only get the Manager of the Month if your players have done well for you. The award is for all concerned; the players have been fantastic - without them I wouldn't be sitting here as a manager. I would like to show my gratitude to them, it is a big pat on the back for them."

The presentation that was made at Pitreavie on Friday was the last thing on Macca's mind. After a week where he secured Gerry McCabe and Stephen Wright as his Assistant and First Team Coach Jim admitted:-

"I've been far too busy to think about awards. Now that we have got the management team in place we can get to work."
