Partick Thistle v Dunfermline
Saturday, 12th Jan 2008Scottish Cup Fourth Round
MATCH OFF
This Fourth Round Scottish Cup tie was called off at 1.45pm because of a frozen pitch.
The tie has been rearranged for Tuesday 22nd January with a 7.45pm kick off.
Dunfermline Atheltic will once again be running a free bus to the game, leaving at 5.15pm from Legends Bar which will also be opening on Tuesday 22nd from 4pm until 6pm For further information on this call 01383 724 295.
Speaking after his tie had become the seventh of the day to fall foul of the weather, Partick Thistle Manager, Ian McCall said:-
"The referee had a long hard look at it on two or three occasions and maybe given another two hours you never know it might have been played but he has made the right decision. It is not that bad it is just that the weather caught us out like it caught a lot of teams out."
The postponement means that both clubs are in the draw for the next round and McCall added "We are looking forward to see who we get, I am sure Dunfermline will do likewise. Whethere there is a carrot of a big team or a home draw against a smaller club. It should make it a good night a week on Tuesday."
