"The boys wanted to keep up the record of late so I think coming even and getting a draw is not a bad result.

At some stages of this season Dunfermline would have been delighted to go to Dens Park and leave with a point and a shut out. It is a measure of how far they have come in the last month that Scott Morrison was a little disappointed that he had not been in a winning team on Saturday:-

"We have won our last four games so you get in the way of winning games. Last week was a great win at Livvy; we started really well. Against Dundee we did not start that well but we battled into the game. We had a few chances and I had a few chances myself. We are looking to put those chances away now whereas before you were hoping to get chances but now we are getting chances, getting into positions and we are disappointed about not putting them away and coming away with a win.

"The boys wanted to keep up the record of late so I think coming even and getting a draw is not a bad result. Paul has had a couple of great saves again - he keeps doing it week in week out. Sammy has had a few good saves for them as well."

Things might have been different had the best chance of the afternoon in the second minute of the second half not been turned around the left goalpost by his team mate:-

"At the start of the second half it came to Jim Hamilton but he tried to hit the ball down and hit the target, it just went passed. It could have maybe changed the game a bit."

The goal could have kept up the momentum for the Pars but Scott was optimistic that the woes of earlier in the season are in the past:-

"We can make massive progress after the abysmal first half of the season. It has been easy to make progress of late but we need to start turning the hard work and performances into good performances, making a bit more play, creating a few more clear cut chances and getting a few more goals.

"Confidence is a massive thing in football it just shows you. The boys are training a bit better now, feeling a bit sharper and they all feel a lot more confident and they are taking that into games, getting results and that breeds confidence as well."

Scott gave an insight into the transformation that has taken Jim McIntyre from team mate to manager in the space of a month:-

"The boys have had a bit of banter with it and Jim has taken it all well. When he took over I wasn't sure if he was going to get the job or not, he might have come back to the playing staff. Now he is going to stamp his own authority on the club and we will see what changes he makes.

"The boys were under a lot of pressure because we were underperforming so we just wanted to get someone in who would take over the club and get it back on the right path. Jim did that in the time when he was temporary manager so the boys were more than happy for him to take charge. He has brought his own ideas in and it has started really well for him."
