Paul Gallacher Post Livvy
Wednesday, 2nd Jan 2008"Two up, playing really good football, and in the second half took our foot off the gas a little bit.
Paul Gallacher celebrated his first match as a fully signed up member of Dunfermline with another shut out, his seventh in seventeen games since returning to Scotland.
"It was sort of deja vu from the Stirling game. Two up, playing really good football, and in the second half took our foot off the gas a little bit. Although we spoke about it at half time saying not to do that but we showed some battling qualities there and I'd say we thoroughly deserved the three points."
The first half was fairly quiet for Paul:-
"That's the way I like it. The boys were doing brilliantly in front of me. They have been absolutely fantastic since I arrived here. They work really hard and since Macca has been caretaker he has done a great job. He has got the boys playing for each other; we work as a unit now and reaping the rewards."
A Graham Dorrans shot in the second half certainly made Paul call on all the quality that earned him his eight international caps:-
"It was a decent strike but, as I have been told in the dressing room, that is what I am there for."
Next stop is Dundee and Paul enjoys returning to the city where he spent five seasons:-
"It is good for myself going up there after playing for United for so many years. I get a bit of stick there so it is great to go there and play. They are a good team and playing quite well. We have to go up there with the same attitude as we have had in the past few weeks in games, and be positive. It will be a tough game but we want the three points obviously.
"Until it is mathematically impossible we are giving everything in games and trying to get three points everytime we play to get us up the league. As I have said before we will see what happens at the end of the season."
