Preview Celtic
Wednesday, 6th Dec 2006The Pars last home league win against Celtic is now over seventeen years ago and Istvan Kozma and Ross Jack scored the all important goals.
Dunfermline would love to extinguish the memories of Celtic`s last visit to East End Park but they are fighting the odds as the runaway league leaders come calling on Sunday. Few people recall Andy Tod`s goal that drew the Pars level in the 14th minute. That has been forgotten about as everything else that happened in that game is buried. There have been just two Dunfermline wins out of twenty four Premier League home games against Celtic. The two victories took place in 1987 and 1989.

Its top v bottom, the two teams are divided by the other ten SPL clubs. The 5-1 defeat at Rugby Park certainly will have dented the Pars confidence and the bookmaker will not be giving long odds on a Celtic victory. Sol Bamba will be suspended following his 57th minute red card at Kilmarnock.
