Greg Shields Post Aberdeen
Monday, 27th Nov 2006"You can tell by the way he goes about the place and what he does and what he demands from players that he sets his expectations high.
Greg Shields was requested by the media for the post match analysis on Saturday but the Pars stand in captain was in a different mood from the Dundee United match when he had faced the press, still clutching his Man of the Match champagne and having scored the equalising goal. There was no addition to the Shields cellar or goals tally this week however as he held his hand up to admit an uncharacteristic mistake that let Lee Miller in for the first of Aberdeen's three second half goals.
Greg reflected on the moves taken by new gaffer Stephen Kenny in his first week in office:-
"He's just trying to drum togetherness into us. When someone makes a mistake other people should be there to help us out, although it didn't happen on Saturday.
"You can tell by the way he goes about the place and what he does and what he demands from players that he sets his expectations high. He's always trying to better things, which is good for us. It's very similar in terms of preparation to what I was used to down south (while at Charlton Athletic)."
