Preview Dundee United
Wednesday, 15th Nov 2006It`s almost a decade since United last triumphed at East End Park.
With new Manager Stephen Kenny only arriving on Saturday there will be little scope for him to alter very much as the Pars prepare to meet Dundee United. Let`s hope however that the players desire to impress the new gaffer will mean that there is a boost to the Athletic`s fortunes. The first meeting this season between these clubs resulted in a goalless draw but Dunfermline need points and they will be desperate for a win.
The Pars have the upper hand at East End Park with eight Premier wins to United`s five.

Having lost seven goals without reply in their last two home matches, the Pars will not be fancied by many of those placing money on the outcome of this fixture.

United`s away form started well this season. A draw at Ibrox, another at Kilmarnock and a win at St Mirren. Another draw at Inverness in their fourth away match was their last success. The CIS Insurance Cup reverse at McDiarmid Park heralded three further resounding defeats in the SPL.
Things have changed at Tannadice since the arrival of Craig Levein. His two matches in charge have seen them win consecutive home games against Rangers and Kilmarnock.
