Craig Robertson Post Falkirk
Saturday, 4th Nov 2006"Whoever or whenever a new man comes in it will give the players a lift"
"It is very disappointing. You work all week on things and then within 35 seconds some bad defending loses you a goal. We then have a few half chances at the start of the second half but then again, bad defending and we lose a second goal.
"We had two great chances at 2-0 when the keeper had two great saves. Then we hit the bar and the rebound put Falkirk on the attack and bad defending again - we lose another goal.
"I cannot fault the players effort. The effort was definitely there but it just wasn't good enough. The same players produced a brilliant performance last week at Tynecastle.
"Whoever or whenever a new man comes in it will give the players a lift. I don't know what is in the thoughts of the directors.
"I know we have kept going on about this but the problem is the horrendous injuries. Even today Steven Simmons had to come off at half time with sickness and diahorrea; Darren Young tweaked his groin with fifteen minutes to go when we had used the subs.
"When the new manager comes in, if he can get consistency of selection I am sure that the players here are good enough to climb up the league. We haven't had consistency of selection and that has been a huge problem. Phil McGuire hadn't even played a reserve game after missing six weeks but because we had nobody else he had to come on today. It wasn't in the plan for Phil to come on today but he had to."
