Preview Rangers
Friday, 3rd Nov 2006Pars hope to follow in Saints footsteps
Following Rangers poor results this week that saw them lose to Dundee United at Tannadice and then get dumped out of the CIS Insurance Cup maybe it`s not the best of times to visit Ibrox. Hopefully Craig Robertson`s team will take confidence from the success of the underdogs and put further pressure on the troubled Manager Paul Le Guen. Unfortunately history remains against Dunfermline with twenty one of the twenty four Premier League visits to Ibrox ending in defeat.

The last Pars league victory at Ibrox is now over 34 years ago. Jim Leishman scored the winning goal that day (as he never forgets to tell us), with the other goals coming from Ken Mackie, Kenny Thomson, plus an own goal from Sandy Jardine.
