Jim Leishman Post Inverness Caley Thistle
Saturday, 30th Sep 2006We should be going and winning the games that we should win
"We tried to play it out wide and get balls into the box. I thought there was 0-0 written all over it then the deflection. We had the chance to clear it just before it. It wasn't a great clearance and one of the Caley balls played it in and scored with a deflection with a minute and a half to go in injury time.
"You can't come back from that but I am disappointed after last week's second half performance. We felt if we could have upped it to that second half performance last week we could have got something out of it.
"I don't know why we could not repeat that; the training this week has been as positive as we can. Everything was upbeat; the tempo was high but we will speak to the boys about that - now is maybe the wrong time to ask questions of them."
Asked if Motherwell's 5-0 win to close the gap on the Pars to just one point was a great concern, Jim replied:-
"I am not interested quite honestly; it is about what we do. we are good enough to stay in this league; we are good enough to climb this league; we have a good enough squad to do that. Last year we depended on other teams getting beat, doing this and doing that but that is not the attitude we should be taking. We should be going and winning the games that we should win, getting the points in the bag without relying on other people."
