Friday, 5th Jan 2007Republic of Ireland youth internationalist joins Dunfermline Athletic until the end of the season.
Jim O'Brien has joined Dunfermline from Celtic on a loan deal until the end of the season. The loan deal will run until the end of May and provide O'Brien with invaluable Scottish Premierleague experience.
O'Brien who turned 18 back in September, was on the bench when Celtic beat Dunfermline at Parkhead in September and has been capped at Youth level for the Republic of Ireland.
Stephen Kenny commented on his first acquisition:-
"He's top scorer for Celtic's reserve team this season and will be a valuable addition to the squad. Our injury list is crippling and we've got to add a few players to make us stronger.
" We hope to have another couple of signings shortly.Views : 2,654
