DUNFERMLINE 3 ROSYTH RECREATION 3
The Under 19s continued their preparation for next week's Fife Youth Cup at St Andrews next week with a competitive match against Junior side Rosyth Recreation at the Fleet Ground on Thursday night. It looked as though it was going to be easy as the Pars went into a two goal lead within the first ten minutes.
Scott McBride's corner in 8 minutes was neatly converted by Iain WILIAMSON who arrived at the near post to open the scoring. Next Gary Leighton swung over a good ball from the right midway inside the Rosyth half. McBRIDE from the edge of the box produced a stab of a shot that crept in at the far post.
In 13th minute Rosyth won a free kick 25 yards out and Andy LAWSON scored with a well struck, low drive from 25 yards. The trialist keeper, Sam Burns, could not get down to prevent the ball slipping in at the base of his left hand post. Ten minutes later Rosyth failed to move the ball forward from a free kick just inside their own half and Dunfermline should have punished them with another goal. Choosing to play it along the back three, a weak Rosyth pass was intercepted by Alan McDonough, he slid the ball to Calum Smith who chose to feed Sean Muhsin on the right but his hurried cross fell behind the goals.
Smith had another try two minutes later but having controlled the pass in from Muhsin, the young striker's effort went just over the crossbar. A 34th minute chance also fell for Smith but the keeper quickly narrowed the angle and the shot hit the right sidenetting.

Rosyth Recreation got back on level terms in 53 minutes when a move from the left let John KELLY in for a shot. Pat Halpin blocked but the no.10 followed up to net from six yards. Smith had a good attempt with an overhead kick and then in 64 minutes had his shot cleared off the line after he had beaten the keeper with a shot from an acute angle on the left.
Dunfermline were back in the lead just one minute later however. A throw in on the right was worked to Muhsin whose cross from the right byeline was diverted into the goal from five yards out by Alan McDONOUGH..
Having restored their lead the Pars could not retain it. Eight minutes from time a ball in from the Rosyth left put Tam McGeorge through and he stuck the ball past the trialist keeper into the left side of the goal.
