Manager James McPake was disappointed that his side could only take one point from the team that are bottom of the league:-
“We knew it was going to be a really tough game but the disappointment is that you don`t pick up the three points.
“I don`t think we did enough in the game to merit winning the game. Clyde were stuffy late on, we tried to throw everything at them but we weren`t as lively, we weren`t as good on the ball at the top of the pitch as we have been this season. A draw is probably a fair result on reflection. I might change my mind when I watch it back.
“We started pretty slow. Set-plays, we weren`t great either, which is a bit of a concern but we will address that. I can`t fault effort or work rate of the players but it was just a day where we didn`t get going unfortunately."
It has been a long week though?
"We`re used to playing games. Yeah, you look at last week and extra-time but we just look at this game on the whole. There`s no point in looking back over that. The loan players that we had available didn`t play midweek either, so there`s no excuses from our point of view we just weren`t as good or as sharp as normally can be or we`ve shown we can be. That`s the disappointing thing. It`s not down to effort or character of the boys, we just never got going today."
What did you hope for from the half time substitutions?
"It really could have been anybody. Josh Edwards was the one in the first half who was playing at the level that he normally can. So it`s not a criticism of Joe (Chalmers) or Chris (Mochrie) but we tried to freshen it up, we tried to get legs on there that we think could have hurt them. It was a stuffy game. I just said to them there, we could have played all night and not scored - it was one of those afternoons.
“We just never clicked, never got going. The change was for that. We got Kevin (O`Hara) and Nikolay (Todorov) on as well but we never worked their goalkeeper nearly enough. We just looked a bit sloppy all over the pitch. We didn`t look completely like our normal selves."
There were sixteen corners but none of them worked out for you?
"That`s something we`ll need to work on. Those wee things are disappointing or you`re getting enough. Set-plays, we concede from one, even in our own box when we were defending them we just looked not great. Sixteen corners and I don`t know how many first contacts we made. Lewis (McCann) has one from a corner very late on but apart from that we weren`t putting them in the right areas. The deliveries weren`t great but we didn`t showed enough to get the first contact on them. In terms of work rate and determination, you can`t question the players for that. I`ll stand by that but we weren`t ourselves today."
