Manager’s Christmas Message
Saturday, 24th Dec 2022“Have a great Christmas time, enjoy it and come out here and make a lot of noise on the second of January when our other neighbours are our first foots.
“From myself, Dave Mackay and the rest of the coaching staff we hope that you have a very Merry Christmas. That hopefully will be aided by the three points from the game on Christmas Eve.
“Christmas has been strange during Covid. I remember taking the Christmas dinner my wife had made in a plastic bag to some of my family because we weren’t allowed to celebrate together. Now everybody can enjoy it and I think that’s why I’m so excited about it.
“We will continue to give everything, the fans will continue to keep backing us and as long as that is happening we know that this football club is going to get better. That is still the one guarantee I gave the very first time I spoke to the media as manager of Dunfermline Athletic.
“I could not guarantee that we would win games or win titles, the only guarantee that you will get from me and Dave is that the players will give everything. I think that has showed in the first half of the season. It is our job to show that for the rest of the season. We drip feed bits and pieces in and by doing that it seems to be going okay.
“Have a great Christmas time, enjoy it and come out here and make a lot of noise on the second of January when our other neighbours are our first foots. Enjoy the time, it is a great time. Enjoy it with the family and friends or whatever you are doing.”
