Walking Down the Halbeath Road – A Pars Play
Friday, 11th Nov 2022Fancy a trip to the theatre to see the first ever play produced by the Pars Supporters Trust, centred around the lives of everyday Dunfermline folk and their love for the Pars?
It was just another year for the Wilson family in their wee flat in the Abbeyview Estate until the events of a fateful Saturday changed all of their lives. Forever.
Walking Down the Halbeath Road is a new play telling of the trials and tribulations of the fictional family set against the 1995/96 Season, one of triumph and tragedy for the Pars.
The play has been written by Scottish playwright and author Mike Gibb whose other stage works include the likes of Mother of All the Peoples, Five Pound & Twa Bairns, Clarinda, Outlander the Musical and Doorways in Drumorty. Mike has also written a host of books including three for the Pars, the most recent being Heroes of the Halbeath Road.
Walking Down the Halbeath Road will premiere at Dunfermline’s Alhambra Theatre on Thursday 2 March and will run for 3 nights. It will be directed by Calum Beaton with a cast which boasts several well-known and acclaimed local actors.
Tickets are now on sale and are priced at £15 for adults with concessions £13. They are available from Alhambra box office (where a booking fee will apply) and the DAFC club shop.
Proceeds from the production will go to the Pars Supporters Trust to enable them to continue to support our club. For further information, please contact PST Chair Drew Main on andrew@dafc.co.uk or call 07809 176509.
