Saturday, 29th Oct 2022cinch League One (home) v Kelty Hearts, Saturday 29th October 2022, kick off 3.00pm at The KDM Group East End Park.
Dunfermline Athletic will welcome Kelty Hearts to The KDM Group East End Park to play their first competitive match there against the Pars
For Kelty this is not their first competitive match at East End Park. On 3 June 2007 a crowd of 9304 watched the showcase of the Junior calendar, the Citylink Scottish Junior Cup Final between Kelty Hearts and Linlithgow Rose. This was the first time that East End had been used for the Junior Final and Linlithgow lifted the trophy with a winning goal in the last minute of extra time. Kelty however come a long way since that Junior Cup Final.
The new Fife derby comes about after Kelty Hearts remarkable rise through the pyramid system. The club has progressed from junior football, the East Superleague, a play off to enter the Lowland league in 2018, a play off as Lowland league champions against Brechin City in 2021 and promotion from Scottish League Two as champions in their first season in the SPFL.
