Walking Down the Halbeath Road

Walking Down the Halbeath Road is a new play focusing on a year in the lives of a family from the Abbeyview Estate set against the backdrop of the triumph and tragedy of the Pars 1995/96 season.
The play has been written by Scottish playwright and author Mike Gibb whose earlier stage works include the likes of Mother of All the Peoples, Five Pound & Twa Bairns, Clarinda, Outlander the Musical and Doorways in Drumorty. Mike has also written more than a dozen books, including three for the Pars Supporters Trust, the most recent being 2020’s Heroes of the Halbeath Road.
The new play will be on stage at the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline from Thursday 2nd to Saturday 4th March 2023 and will be performed by a community cast under the direction of Calum Beaton. It is hoped to hold the auditions at East End Park in late August.
