Kyle Macdonald goes out on loan
Monday, 24th Jan 2022A return for 22 year old defender to the Excelsior Stadium on loan
Dunfermline Athletic can confirm that defender Kyle Macdonald has joined Airdrieonians on loan for the rest of the season.
All the best Kyle.
Manager John Hughes commented:-
“At my first game against Inverness he was playing wide right and he did very well. After two or three games the novelty wore off a little. He is a right back and he needs to be facing the play and it is for the exact same reason as we allowed Craig Wighton out on loan, he has a great attitude and you could see that it was hurting him that he couldn’t play.
“We have a number of players who can play in that right back role. Aaron Comrie is in there at the moment, Leon Jones could play there and Lewis Martin can cover over there. We just felt that it would probably be best for Kyle to go out and play football.
“It will not do him any harm, he is back with us next season, he will get game time and that is most important for him at this stage of his career.”
