Coll Donaldson arrives on loan
Monday, 3rd Jan 2022Ross County`s Coll Donaldson has experience of playing for Livingston, Queens Park Rangers, Dundee United, Inverness Caley Thistle
Dunfermline Athletic are today pleased to announce the signing of Coll Donaldson on loan from Ross County until the end of the season. The 26 year central defender made 31 starts for Ross County last season and is clearly a player that John Hughes knows well. Injury has restricted Coll’s appearances this season to just four in July and August. A knee injury kept him out until mid December but has only been an unused sub in the three matches he was stripped for.
Coll grew up in North Berwick and played for Tynecastle Colts before joining Livingston’s youth system. He was on trial with Manchester United at the age of 17 but in January 2014 at the age of 18 he was signed by Harry Redknapp for Queens Park Rangers. He made just one appearance for the London club in the Championship against Barnsley before eighteen months later returning to Scotland to join Dundee United.
After two seasons at Tannadice, Coll joined Inverness Caley Thistle where he would make 103 appearances for the Highlanders. Next move was a short one over the Kessock Bridge to join Ross County in January 2020.
With the experience of 223 senior appearances, everyone at East End Park welcomes Coll to the club and hopes that he can make a great contribution towards the team`s success for the remainder of the season. We wish Coll well during his spell at East End Park.
