The Black and White Ball back with huge success.
Monday, 29th Nov 2021Over £20,000 raised during Saturday`s event.
Following a break due to Covid the 1885 Business Club Black and White Ball returned on Saturday 27th November helping raise a record amount along with the largest attendance since its introduction.
Over £20,000 was raised during the evening with the star auction prize, a VIP trip to a St Pauli match hosted by Thomas Meggle, going for £3000.
We were also joined by the DAFC Management team and our new investors from Germany who enjoyed entertainment from live band T-Junction along with a special performance from Eva Keretic. Eva, married to DAFC Director Damir Keretic, is a singer songwriter who traveled in especially from America.
Jim Leishman was also presented with a special print recognising his achievements at the club with a very limited run also auctioned off on the night.
Vice Chairman Billy Braisby commented:
“I`d like to thank everyone who came along on Saturday night. The feedback has been superb and our new friends from Germany have commented just how welcome they`ve been made to feel by everyone who attended.
On the back of what`s been a tough few years to have not only our highest ever attendance but raise over £20,000 for the football club is tremendous and testament to the fantastic backing of our supporters and sponsors. I`d like to thank them along with the team behind the scenes that helps pull the event together.”
