Centenary Club Lifeline Update 22-07-21

Thursday, 22nd Jul 2021

An update from The Centenary Club Lifeline following further investment from DAFC Fußball GmbH.

Since the relaunch of the Centenary Club Lifeline in 2013, we have donated in the region of £1.5m to Dunfermline Athletic Football Club. This has only been possible due to the tremendous support of our members. This money has supported the club on a daily basis via various channels.

Our committee has worked tirelessly to attract and retain members, as we know how important the money is to the club. It has been apparent in recent years the difficulties and challenges there are in running a Championship football club. This has been a huge pressure for our dedicated DAFC Board of Directors.

As mentioned in our previous statement, we at the Centenary Club Lifeline herald this further investment from DAFC Fußball GmbH as a huge step in the right direction and see this as an exciting time for the club and all our supporters. We very much welcome the investment and look forward to meeting the new majority shareholders and new board members in person soon.

DAFC Fußball GmbH acknowledge the great history of our football club and the huge potential we have. The group are not only investing equity capital into the club but also bringing expertise and a desire to develop the football club on and off the pitch.

With this in mind, this does not diminish the importance of the Centenary Club Lifeline, far from it. DAFC Fußball GmbH were attracted by our community spirit and the support from fans via the various supporter’s organisations.

This exciting investment from DAFC Fußball GmbH will support key infrastructure in the football club, however, the club will continue to require the same support from our fans via the Centenary Club Lifeline membership. The Board continues to stress that the Centenary Club Lifeline is a vital part of the club`s future. The money raised will continue to help the club to progress in the direction we all want to go - and that is getting back to playing Premiership football.

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support to this point and for the support you will continue to pledge going forward. Our committee will continue to work hard to ensure we can remain the envy of many in Scottish football.

If you are not yet a member and interested in joining, please do not hesitate fill out the online application form via- www.dafclifeline.co.uk

We hope our members are as excited by this development as we are.

Take care and stay safe
