Back Room Staff Update

An update on a number of changes to the back room staff at East End Park

Following last week’s appointment of Peter Grant as our new First Team Manager, DAFC would like to provide an update on a number of other changes.

The club can confirm that Greg Shields and Steven Whittaker will now both be our First Team Coaches, working together with Peter as part of our revised coaching staff. At the same time, Steven has announced his retirement from playing.

Peter Grant stated “I am absolutely delighted that Greg and Steven agreed to work with me to take this club forward. It was always my intention to speak to the both of them, as they are both good people as well as being the right type of coaches and characters. I really think there will be good synergy with our own views on how we would like to play, and I also feel there will be a right good dynamic between the three of us. In addition, they are both keen to do well and develop as coaches as well and provide me with good continuity coming into the job.”

At the same time Physiotherapist, Jamie Sutton and Sports Scientist, Gary McColl will both be leaving our club. We would like to thank them both for their services to our club and wish them well in the future.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Head Physiotherapist, Rob Dicke and Sports Scientist/S&C coach, Paul Green. Rob was most recently at Rangers, with Paul most recently at Hibernian.

Chairman, Ross McArthur stated “A lot of work has been undertaken recently with all of the changes we have had to make, but we certainly have a reinvigorated back room staff, all with a great desire to move our club forward and make positive change”.
