Josh Edwards contract agreed
Monday, 31st May 2021Peter Grant’s first signing is to secure the services of the Pars Young Player of the Year.
Dunfermline Athletic are pleased to announce that Josh Edwards has agreed a two year extension to his contract.
The left back who turned 21 last week has a very successful 2020-21 season. He firmly established his place in the team missing only two of the Pars 36 matches and he played every minute of the 34 games he started. Such was his contribution that he was voted Young Player of the Year by the supporters and the management team.
Since Josh signed from Airdrieonians in July 2019 he has developed into a tough tackling defender who is very comfortable getting into forward areas as a more typical left wing back. Very much in keeping with the club’s approach of providing a platform for up and coming talent, Josh has seized his opportunity and has a great future in the game.
