Aaron Comrie

This award is voted by the supporters which has been very difficult when the fans haven’t been able to see their favourites in the flesh but Aaron proved to be a very popular choice and was a clear winner. He has made the right back role his own this season and you can see he has developed into the role and steadily got better with each game. He has been a very consistent performer and he even managed to score his first goal for the Pars with a cracking solo effort against Raith Rovers. At only 24 years old we believe there is more to come from this young man and this will prove to be the first award of many.

Josh Edwards

The Pars have been blessed to have had a great many left backs over the years and perhaps we have another one in the making here. Voted by the supporters, 20 year old Josh has caught the eye of many fans as he has settled into the team as the established left back in a very similar fashion to Aaron over on the right hand side. He has developed into a tough tackling defender but is very comfortable getting into forward areas as a more typical left wing back. Very much in keeping with the club’s approach of providing a platform for up and coming talent, Josh has seized his opportunity and has a great future in the game.

The Manager & Coaching Staff Player of the Year

Paul Watson

This award is chosen by Stevie Crawford and his back room team. This award probably paints a picture that only the players and backroom staff are witness to, at this time. Only they will see what players do and contribute behind the scenes and on the training pitch and not least on the pitch on a Saturday afternoon. In a tough league like the Championship you must have some experience in the side and Paul brings that at the ripe “old age” of 30. His previous experience with Dundee Utd and Livingston to gain promotions is vital (we’ll skip over his time with Raith Rovers and Falkirk!). Clearly, Stevie and his backroom team value Paul’s role in the team and within the squad.

The Manager & Coaching Staff Young Player of the Year

Josh Edwards

Josh makes it a double picking up this award again chosen by Stevie and the coaching staff. It perhaps endorses the supporters’ choice for young player and clearly shows that his performances have been noticed but again Josh has obviously stood out to Stevie and his backroom team for his efforts on the training pitch and his all round contribution to the squad.

The Gary Riddell Trophy for the Players’ Player of the Year

Euan Murray

There probably isn’t an accolade higher than the one which is voted for by your peers. It is probably quite fitting that Euan, as the team captain, has been chosen by his team-mates for this award. Euan started this season with some sterling performances and several goals which very quickly marked him out as a danger man at set pieces. He was almost starting to provide a challenge to Declan and Kevin as top scorer with a total, thus far, of 7 goals. However, it is probably a measure of the man that his contribution to the team and to the squad, with his experience, has been recognised with this award. A player who leads by example is a major asset to any squad. Euan also follows in the footsteps of many great Pars players who have won this award and it is well deserved.

The DAFC Goal of the Season

Craig Wighton

If there is one criticism to be made of the team this year, it has been the fact we haven’t scored as many goals as our performances merited. However, when we have scored, it seems that we have made up for quantity in the quality of the goals scored. Craig’s goal against Dundee was voted by the supporters as the best of a very good bunch of goals and with his subsequent efforts ,we hope to see a great many more in the coming seasons.

The Centenary Club Lifeline is the major fund raising arm in support of the football club, which was originally formed in 1985 and re-launched in 2013.
