Pars fans push the boat out
Thursday, 15th Apr 2021£1000 added to DADSC funds that will be used to improve accessibility for disabled fans at East End Park.
Dunfermline Athletic Disabled Supporters’ Club (DADSC) run a successful “Cash in the Attic” initiative, where supporters are encouraged to donate unwanted household items, which are then sold by DADSC to raise funds.
However, even the DADSC scheme organisers, who are long-used to the generosity of Pars fans, were astonished to be offered a Shetland 535 fishing boat by David Thomson and his partner Fiona. Nine-year old Pars fan Amy Wight, Fiona’s daughter and a pupil at Donibristle Primary School, is shown at the controls.
The boat has now been sold, with an extra £1000 added to the DADSC funds. So far, DADSC have raised over £40,000 and all of it will be used to improve accessibility for disabled fans at East End Park.
