Bonar Mercer

Bonar Mercer had two spells at Dunfermline. The first as one of a group of talented youngsters who tried in vain to prevent the club being relegated in the early 1970s, and the second as part of Harry Melrose`s promotion-winning side of the late 70s.

A rugged left back with a turn of pace and a powerful shot, Bonar made 213 first team appearances for Dunfermline Athletic.
