DAFC are proud of the relationship the club has built with the Dunfermline Foodbank over recent years and recognise the vital contribution they make to the West Fife Community.
We were therefore delighted this week to be able to support the charity further by donating 250 kilo bags of drinking chocolate and 120 kilos of powdered milk which were handed over on behalf of the club by young Pars fans Richie Ross and Ross Davie at the charities Pitreavie depot.
The Foodbanks John Thomson commented:
"Dunfermline Foodbank has adapted its policies during these very difficult times to ensure we are still able to maintain our services to those suffering from food poverty in the West Fife area.
Last year seen a marked increase in the amount of people requiring our assistance with over 8100 families seeking support. We continue to see an increased demand and are more reliant than ever on the goodwill of local businesses to assist us.
DAFC have consistently helped us over the years and I would like to again thank the club for making this sizeable and very generous donation.
The Foodbank is open between 4pm and 6pm on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays and any donations would be hugely welcomed".
