Dunfermline Athletic striker, Gabby McGill (20) has returned from his loan to Edinburgh City to go out again on loan this time to National League North club, York City.
The son of Minstermen owner and chairman Jason McGill, Gabby started his career with the Bootham Crescent club spending three years developing at York’s Academy before at the age of 16 signing a two year scholarship deal with Middlesbrough.
He spent the two seasons in Middlesbrough’s category 1 Academy system. He scored 16 goals in 19 games in the 2018-2019 season.
After agreeing development compensation, Gabby signed for Dunfermline Athletic from Middlesbrough on a two year contract in May 2019.
Gabby made 17 appearances for Dunfermline in season 2019-2020, scoring one goal away to Queen of the South in February 2020.
He made one appearance this season for the Pars off the bench at Kilmarnock in the Betfred Cup before going out on loan to Edinburgh City from October 2020 to January 2021.
Gabby made four starts and four appearances off the bench for Edinburgh City. He scored twice before League Two fixtures were suspended.
