Watching the Pars behind closed doors
Thursday, 15th Oct 2020With spectators not allowed back in stadiums for the start of season 2020-21, please note the alternative arrangements for Pars fans
Whilst matches are played behind closed doors, all of our season ticket holders will be provided with free access to Pars TV, until spectators are allowed back into East End Park.
In recent weeks, we have carried two test events, and have encouraged all of our season ticket holders to register on the new and simplified Pars TV website.
If you are a season ticket holder, and have not already registered, please visit www.parstv.co.uk enter your customer ID and Post code. The customer ID is printed on your season ticket card. This will then allow you to view the matches.
Fans are using all sorts of different devices to access the stream, be it games consoles, tablets, laptops and smart TV’s. We have created a user and troubleshooting guide for supporters to ensure you have the best opportunity to watch the stream on a robust device. Which is available to view at www.parstv.co.uk
Non Season ticket holders will now also be able to view our home matches at East End Park, on an individual Pay Per View (PPV) basis, via Pars TV.
Our club asks you to please use Pars TV exclusively for this, as then all income will come to our club.
The cost of the PPV will be £12 per match. Please remember that DAFC are required to pay VAT on this, so the net revenue to our club is actually £10.
We wanted to be fair to our loyal season ticket holders, with the average cost paid by our season ticket holders this season equating to £11 per match. Therefore, the PPV cost has been designed to be slightly higher. Only 30% of our season ticket holders paid the full adult price, hence the reason why the average cost is so low. We fully recognise that a number of season ticket holders have paid more than £11, and we thank them yet again for their loyalty and support, and hope this pricing structure for streaming does not make them feel disadvantaged in any way. Once spectators are allowed back into football stadiums the normal gate prices will apply.
Please note, until further notice, at all Championship grounds this season, only the home clubs will be streaming matches and any away supporters wishing to view the match will need to visit the home club’s website to purchase the match on a PPV basis. This is to ensure that all income attributable to the home match is retained by the home club, as per the current rules on normal admission via the turnstiles.
Therefore, Pars TV will only be streaming from East End Park this season.
Please get behind the team, even from afar, we need your support more than ever during these challenging times.
