Disability Access Officer post
Wednesday, 16th Sep 2020The untimely death of Kenny Cowan means there is a vacancy for the voluntary post of Disability Access Officer (DAO) at DAFC.
The main purpose of the position is to provide a point of contact for disabled fans, both home and away, and help to resolve any queries/issues/concerns they may have. This is almost always achieved via email. It would also be your responsibility to report any East End Park access issues to the DAFC Board and to keep the Board updated should there be any changes in legislation affecting the matchday experience of disabled fans attending a game at Dunfermline. This information is often provided by the national associations you would liaise with. It would also be necessary for you to represent DAFC at the occasional meetings held by the Scottish Disabled Supporters Association.
Whilst the DAO need not be disabled themselves, they should have an empathy with disabled fans and act in their best interests at all times.
If you would like to apply for the position of Disability Access Officer at DAFC, or would like more information about the role, please contact Drew Main on andrew@dafc.co.uk or by calling 07809 176509.
