Margaret`s medals supports the Pars

2015/16 Championship medal raises funds for `Support the Pars`

Tom Malcolmson (partner of the Late Margaret Ross) contacted Kenny Mclachlan recently to offer the medal Margaret was presented with as a director at the end of the League 1 Championship winning season 2015/16.

The club were allocated a batch of medals on completion of the season and after the players had been awarded theirs the directors were presented with those which remained.

Tom would normally have wished any funds raised to go the The Margaret Ross Memorial Fund however after discussing the current situation with Kenny they agreed that any monies raised should go towards the “Fighting Fund.”

Being a Trustee of the Dunfermline Athletic Heritage Trust Kenny spoke with Tom and they decided that they should offer them the first refusal on the medal, following discussions between the other Trustees the offer of £250 was agreed and the Medal will now be a lasting tribute to the memory of Margaret and will be the property of the Heritage Trust.

Many thanks to Tom Malcolmson for the very kind donation, it is indeed fitting that Margaret should be a part of the fundraising for the club in its time of need.
