Owain Fôn Williams

Owain Fôn Williams was signed on loan from Hamilton Academical on 30 January 2020 and was then signed as Goalkeeper/ Coach in August 2020.
Owain was brought up in the small Welsh village of Penygroes which is located to the south of Caernarfon and north of Porthmadog. He is a product of the Crewe Alexandria Youth Academy who got his first professional experience at Stockport County.
After 91 appearances for County he moved to Rochdale and Tranmere Rovers before coming north to join Inverness Caley Thistle and then Hamilton Academical.
With over 400 senior appearances, Owain is a keeper with a vast amount of experience having also playing for Indy Eleven in the United Soccer League and the Welsh national team.
Formerly a Welsh youth international, he was first called up to the senior Welsh team in 2009, finally making his debut in 2015. He was a member of the Wales squad that reached the semi-finals of UEFA Euro 2016.
Before coming to Dunfermline on loan, in season 2019-2020 Owain made 21 appearances for Hamilton including in their last three matches against Edinburgh City, Hibs and Livingston. His truncated season at Dunfermline saw him make six appearances for the Pars between January and March 2020.
In season 2020-2021 Owain made 33 appearances for Dunfermline Athletic and a further 23 in season 2021-2022.
Owain made 62 first team appearances in total for Dunfermline before he had his contract terminated for personal reasons in March 2022
