“I didn’t expect it to go in the goal. It looked like the keeper was going to get it but when I scored I was surprise.”
Andrius Skerla was immediately surrounded by his team mates:-
“It was amazing; it doesn’t happen often. It surprised me as well as them. If you are going to win you need to score a goal and it doesn’t matter who scores the goal. It just so happened that I scored.
“I thought it was our day. Especially because we defended quite well and we expected to continue that.
“We expected the pressure in the second half but we were disappointed to let them score. I should maybe not have gone up for that corner and just stay with him at the back. He was playing well. To play against a striker like Larsson with his quality is always very hard.. Aaron will learn from that.”
Andrius experienced European Champions League matches while at PSV Eindhoven how does he think Dunfermline will fair?
“To play in a Final is a big bonus for us and to play in Europe as well. It depends on the draw but we need experience to play in Europe and the luck.”
