Centenary Club Lifeline Player of the Year
Saturday, 2nd May 2020All our award winners and an update from the Centenary Club Lifeline following the conclusion of the league season.
It was unfortunate that we had to cancel our annual player of the year event this year, all due to these unprecedented circumstances we currently find ourselves in.
However we felt it would be unfair for the players to not be recognised for the efforts they had put in up until the season came to a premature end. Therefore we decided still to go ahead with the player of the year voting as usual. It’s been great to see so many votes cast over the past couple of weeks, it just shows just how much everyone appreciates the efforts the players and management put in throughout the season.
The winners for 2019-2020 season are as follows:
Young Player of the Year: Lewis McCann
Goal of the Season: Lee Ashcroft v Ayr Utd - 19th Oct 2019
Player of the Year: Kevin Nisbet
Unfortunately due to current circumstances we all find ourselves in, we’ve been unable to present the winners with their trophy, however we are hoping we can do something about that at the beginning of next season.
The Centenary Club Lifeline has also been very busy over the past couple of months campaigning for new Lifeline members. The response to our campaign for new members has been fantastic. We’ve had numerous current lifeline members taking out second memberships, we’ve had previous members re-activating, all along with a magnificent amount of new members.
The current Centenary Club Lifeline membership stats are as follows:
New applications since season was suspended - 162
New Members started paying since season was suspended – 89
Overall Membership as of 30th April – 920
The Lifeline committee as always is very grateful for all your support and we would continue to encourage fans to sign up to the Lifeline. This period of uncertainty for the football world will continue for some time yet, therefore, any support you can spare for the football club will be invaluable.
Can I just remind any of our new applicants who haven’t set up there standing order as of yet, to do so via internet or telephone banking, as soon as possible. It would help if you could send us a quick e-mail to lifeline@dafc.co.uk to confirm when you have done this to help us keep matters under review.
If you are planning on joining the Centenary Club Lifeline, you can do so by clicking on the link below and completing the 2 simple steps, it really is that easy!
