Bob Lawson

DAFC was saddened to hear that loyal supporter Bob Lawson sadly passed away this morning.

Chairman, Ross McArthur wanted to make this personal tribute.

“I was so sorry to hear the very sad news about Bob today. On behalf of everyone at our club I would like to pass on our sincere condolences to Bob’s wife, Avril and her family.

I was aware that Bob had been struggling with ill health for a number of months but loved his trips to East End Park. I paid my personal condolences to Avril earlier.

He was an absolute treasure of a man, a real gentle giant always encouraging people and exuding positivity. Any time I met him, Bob would give you the warmest handshake and words of encouragement.

He will be truly missed by so many people at East End Park.

With the restrictions currently in place, it is truly heartbreaking for many families who lose a loved one at this time. I know that so many of the Pars Family, in normal circumstances, would have turned out to pay their respects to such a lovely man as Bob. I am sure it would give Avril some comfort at this difficult time, if our own individual tributes to Bob were shared on our club’s Facebook page.
