New Target Set to Support the Pars
Thursday, 30th Apr 2020The £45,000 mark reached!
The response to our Support the Pars campaign has been unbelievable and the generosity of Pars fans everywhere is beyond belief!
When we launched the campaign at 3pm on Saturday 21st March, when we should’ve had a home game against Greenock Morton, our hope was that we could raise £40,000 to help bridge the gap caused by the loss of revenue from 3 home games following the suspension of the 2019/20 league fixtures due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our target was to try and raise £20,000 in April and a further £20,000 in May.
We are both delighted and humbled to announce that after only 3 weeks and 3 days since the launch of Support the Pars, we have reached our £40,000 target. A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed at this extremely difficult time. Your support is hugely appreciated.
Following the announcement from the Scottish FA last week that the suspension of the game will be extended until at least 10th June, and the delay in being able to sell season tickets and new kit from the club shop as it’s still unable to open, it’s clear our club will continue to need our help.
The fans groups who came together to come up with the Support the Pars campaign have agreed to set a new target of £50,000 so we can continue to bridge the gap that little bit longer.
We appreciate how difficult this situation is for everyone, with many supporters facing an uncertain future themselves, so any contribution from those in a position to help will always be gratefully received.
