Centenary Club Update 23/03/2020
Thursday, 2nd Apr 2020A reminder to finalise the set up of standing orders to confirm your membership
How did you all survive another weekend without any football? We suspect many of you will have had other things on your mind in the past few days. It is, however, probably pertinent to use the word "survive` given that our first priority must be to keep ourselves, families and friends safe, please do that.
In terms of our football club, it will survive this period of uncertainty with our support and it was good to see the "Support the Pars" campaign get off the ground at the weekend. At the Lifeline, we are always conscious that there are supporters who are unable to commit to paying £20 every month for a variety of genuine reasons, so it great that there is another avenue for fans to make "one off" donations to help particularly over the next couple of months.
The response to our Lifeline campaign over the past week has been extraordinary. We have had 130 new and re-joining members, who will, when all set up, add £31,200 to our funding over the course of 12 months. That is fantastic and is also a very important distinction to make. The Lifeline donations to the football club is a figure DAFC build into their official financial forecast each year as it is a dependable and reliable income source. It shows just what an important role our fans have played and continue to play in ensuring our club`s survival since we all saved the club back in 2013.
Many of our new applicants will have a bit of time on their hands this week, so if you haven`t already done so, could we ask that you get your standing orders set up via internet or telephone banking, as soon as possible. It would help if you could send us a quick e-mail to lifeline@dafc.co.uk to confirm when you have done this to help us keep matters under review.
The Lifeline committee is very grateful for all your support and we would continue to encourage fans to sign up to the Lifeline. This period of uncertainty for the football world looks as if it will continue for some time yet, therefore, any support you can spare for the football club will be invaluable.
Finally, and more importantly, please stay safe and well.
