After the 2-1 defeat at home to Inverness Stevie Crawford said that he was disappointed since he felt that his team started the game well:-
“Considering that we had three weeks without a game, we created chances as we have done all season. We are frustrated and a bit disappointed when I look back at the decision for the free kick. I have not looked to see if the ball was over the line or not. I am not disputing that but I think the decision could have been kinder to us in terms of the free kick that was given.
“We then tweaked a few things at half time because I De feel that in the first half we were causing them problems. We did have goal scoring opportunities and the boys carried that out well. We ended up flipping Dom and Ethan when he came on just swapping sides and we got our rewards from that when Dom cut inside and scored a fantastic goal.
“Then you feel that you can go on and win the game but we were done with a sucker punch the deflection wasn`t kind to us in terms of of of it coming off Danny and wrong foots the big man (Owain Fon Williams) and he did not have have any chance of saving the goal that won the game in the end.”
When told that John Robertson had said that he thought Stevie Crawford would be cursing him and that he might feel that he deserved a point from the match. Stevie replied:-
“I feel that we created enough chances to win the game and it is disappointing that we have not taken something from the game but there is no crime because we felt that we were on top at the time.
“We were playing at home and we got ourselves back into the game with a good goal. Gabby (McGill) was very unfortunate he was through and when he went to have a shot that leads to the attack that ends up with the goal that wins them the game.
“I have said to the players that I thought they applied themselves properly. We have got to keep that belief. Inverness are sitting second in the league and we have to use that as a marker. Over the next 19 days we have five games and I am sure if we apply ourselves in that manner we will pick up more points than we drop.
